The HES welcomes Bev Pold QAEP as Project Advisor

Bev joins David and Felicity and the full HES project advisory team

Professor David A. Kirby and I are thrilled to welcome Bev Pold QAEP as Project Advisor to the Harmonious Entrepreneurship Society. A passionate supporter from the outset, Bev makes a fantastic addition to the project advisory team, alongside Associate Professor Kathryn Penaluna, Dr Iman El-Kaffass, Associate Professor Nicholas Campion, Professor David Cadman and Paul Ranson. Bev is an experienced practitioner in the field of enterprise, social enterprise, gender equality and rural development/community. Following an early Women’s course at St David’s University College Lampeter (now UWTSD) she set up a consultancy and training business and for the next 14 years worked with a range of SMEs and third sector organisations. She was also a partner in several retail, licensed music, B&B and property ventures. In 1984, she joined the Board of Antur Cymru Enterprise becoming its Chair before retiring in 2019. In 2001 she joined Chwarae Teg and until 2013 was involved in projects promoting Women’s Enterprise, Women in STEM and AGILE NATION. From 2007-2013 she was Specialist adviser (equalities) to WEFO/Wales Rural Development Monitoring Programme. In 2009 she received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion Lifetime and in 2014 was an enterprise finalist in the inaugural St David’s Awards.

Big thanks to Bev, and also to the full advisory team who have been active in their support and engagement in our first year of operation.
