Less than two weeks to go before the launch of the first online HES Enterprise Competition....
Open, this spring, to the staff and students at University Wales Trinity St David (UWTSD) and the International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW), David and I proudly launch the very first ‘Harmonious Entrepreneurship Society Enterprise Competition’ to encourage students and staff of any discipline to develop entrepreneurial ideas and concepts that address the Sustainability Challenge and conform with the principles of Harmonious Entrepreneurship.
There are two stages. In the first stage, entrants provide a 2000 word-summary of their entrepreneurial project. Six shortlisted teams will be invited, in Stage 2, to submit a business plan and present to an expert panel of judges. Reports and presentations should result from collaborative team working and meet the ‘Harmonious Entrepreneurship’ and Judging Criteria.
The three winning teams will receive a cash prize (to be spent on the business), from £1,000 to £3000 and ongoing mentoring and support, and membership of Circklo’s exclusive “Game Changers” community. Where applicable and suitable, the start-up with the highest potential for impact and growth will be offered a free place in Circklo’s Start-up Business Configurator (the equivalent of almost another £3,000).
UWTSD and IUMW students and staff are invited to the online launch day (2nd March 9.30pm-3.45pm), coordinated by our very own HES interns, Laura Ann Yildiz and Adrienne Boran. Packed full of inspiration, skills support, and contributions from Jessica Leigh Jones (MBE), iungo Solutions, Gareth I. Jones, TownSquare, David Brooks, Wales Co-operative Centre, Dawn Lyle, 4theRegion and Ewan Rees, VIP Wales, with more exciting reveals to come.
Check out out dedicated events page supported by IUMW – big thanks to Laura Evans of IUMW, which features even more content and resources.
