Wales has in place a series of policies and strategies to address the sustainability challenge and recognises the important role that education can play in ensuring that the needs of the present are met without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Hence, it was heartening to see the Learned Society of Wales recently organising a network event for early-stage researchers that considered the contribution they make to the future prosperity of Wales. It was even more heartening to hear Felicity’s enthusiastic account of the day and to know that what we are doing in the Harmonious Entrepreneurship Society is seen as contributing to the future for a prosperous Wales that cares for both its environment and its people.
